Job Title: CNC Turner (Plastics Manufacturing)
Location: Cross Green, Leeds
Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:15am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:15am – 1:15pm
About Us
Our client are a well-established manufacturing company specialising in the production of high-quality plastic components for a wide range of industries. Their workshop produces parts of all sizes, from small precision components to large bespoke items, using CNC machinery.
The Role
We are looking for a CNC Turner to join our clients team. The role will involve setting and operating CNC lathes to produce plastic components to specification. You will be working as part of a friendly and experienced team in a busy manufacturing environment.
While previous experience in plastics machining would be beneficial, it is not essential. Candidates with CNC turning experience in other materials — particularly wood or similar materials — are encouraged to apply as full training can be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC turning machines
Producing plastic components to technical drawings and specifications
Monitoring machining processes and making adjustments where required
Checking finished components for accuracy and quality
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
About You
Previous CNC turning experience preferred
Experience machining plastics or wood is advantageous but not essential
Ability to read engineering drawings is beneficial
Good attention to detail and quality standards
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
